Vote Early, Vote Often!

I think Congressman Moran sums up the key difference in this election when he says that we have been guided by an administration that believes in “…the simplistic notion that people with wealth are entitled to keep it.”
I just cannot understand where this idea that if you work hard you are not entitled to keep the fruits of your labor. How fundamentally UN-American can you get? The land of opportunity… but if you succeed we will take away what you have earned!
I’m not saying that we should have no taxes, but those who keep calling for higher taxes on “the rich” need to take a look at how much the rich already pay in taxes. It is heavily weighted towards the rich already… if we go too far, what incentive do they have to risk their money by investing in new companies, hiring people and keeping our economy going in general?

And you can put “big business” in that same category. As Fred Thompson said at the convention, “No, they’re just going to tax ‘businesses!’ So unless you buy something from a ‘business,’ like groceries or clothes or gasoline … or unless you get a paycheck from a big or a small ‘business,’ don’t worry … it’s not going to affect you.”
But, don’t let me change your mind. Vote how your conscience tells you – do your own research, but please KNOW something about your candidate other than how eloquent a speaker they are and judge them not on the color of their skin, but the content of their character. The bottom line is of course: VOTE… or shut up!
